TUKE will lead the work on Robo Games – software platform for competitions – web platform for managing gamified competitions of the VET school students from different countries.

We propose to design and deploy a web platform for supporting teaching of STEM robotics. The virtual meeting place will allow sharing ideas and materials among community members, a course and contest management.

The competition platform will consist of three modules, which we be the 3 main outputs of the IO5 and they will be shared on Github: The first module will support interactive communication for thematic discussions and technical support. The second module will be focused on content and course management. The third module will manage contests and file submissions. As next output there will be a video tutorial for the teachers on how to use and adapt the platform to local needs.

We propose to design and deploy a web platform for supporting teaching of STEM robotics. The virtual meeting place will allow sharing ideas and materials among community members, a course and contest management.

We plan to use a new implementation of the modern node.js and asciidoctor.js scripts for automatic generation of the web content from the web management GUI, generating multiplatform html (PC, tablet, smart phone, …), presentations, source code highlighting, attachment upload, supporting flat file approach, etc. The web platform will be open for usage by any VET schools or student organizations, providing a common place for organizing, managing and presenting international Robotic competitions and will be shared for free.

Activity 1:

Software initial design based on gathered requirements;

At the beggining the online survey will be created and shared among all projects partners and based on the feedback the initial software design will be made and prototyped.

Activity 2:

Platform development and evaluation;

The three modules will be deployed: content and course management; contests and file submission management; interactive communication module for thematic discussions and technical support.

Activity 3:

Validation and verification of the outcomes;

The platform will be validated during virtual Robotic game/competition. Finally, the Robotic Games platform video tutorial will be made by leading partner and it will be adapted for all partner countries with help of academia partners.

Activity 4:

Maintenance and modifications of the platform after training school. From the evaluation results a list of modifications will be concluded and implemented to improve the flexibility and usability of the platform for all partners and possibly also for schools outside of the project to be ready to be publicly available.

Activity 5:

Public version of the platform deployment. TUKE will provide public server deployment of the platform to be ready before multiplier events and presented on TPM in Bucharest for project partners.
